TLDR

No data is shared with any third party. I only keep the usual nginx logs that include your IP address to do statistical analysis in my own interest. Hetzner (Germany) is used for hosting the web server.

As I explain on the about page, I try to minimize tracking and complexity. For that reason I use as little JavaScript, cookies, etc. as possible. Further, the goal is to not load or send any information from or to any third party host. If you find any violation of my own rules, please drop me an E-Mail.

The client side

This site does not store any cookies. The only persistent data that is stored in your browser is the preferred theme. That one is stored in local storage.

Further, as specified above, no requests are done to any third party host.

The server side

This website is hosted via Hetzner, a hosting provider based in Germany. Check their privacy policy and also their FAQ on privacy for user sites.

I keep the usual nginx traffic logs for statistics purposes. Those logs contain your IP address, the accessed resources, time, and user agent.

I use the free and open-source tool awstats for statistical analysis on the same machine that hosts the web server. No information is shared with any third party.

If you are not comfortable with having your IP stored in my web server logs, use privacy technology like the Tor project. Also, drop me an E-Mail if I should delete any traffic you generated from my logs.

The mail server is again hosted on the same machine with the free and open-source Dovecot IMAP server and further free and open-source mail technologies like SpamAssassin. No data is shared with third parties.
